Summer Racing

Boy nothing is better then a nice evening at the races.  The sun shining as fast track and good ole turf racing. Sitting in the paddock area at a picnic bench with friends handicapping and looking for the next claim seems like a story book evening.  With weather and races like this placing a bet isn't even needed to enjoy the night. You can take it one step further and stop by the barn to see your horse and feed a few carrots and mints.  Gotta love summer racing!

Elmer's Race Thursday

Well we got a 6 horse field in an $10,000 NW2L race for $19,000.  We drew the 2 hole with Manny Chaves getting the mount.  Manny worked her through June and hopes to meet us all in the winners circle on the 1st of July.  We open up at 8-1 but the race doesn't appear to have a sure favorite.  In all honesty any of these could step up and win.  Keep an eye on Lester's runners in the 7th, he is the #1 & #1A.   Let's hope for a win for everyone!
